The Island Near the center of the valley, there's a place where the river widens and is a bit more shallow. A small island rises above the swift-moving waters. This is usually where Gatherings are held, but if the river ever rises, the island will be covered and the Clans will have to find a new gathering place. |

Waterfall Water flows from the mountains and falls into the valley. Some cats pay this place a visit just to relax, though they are expected to stay on their own side of the river. Fighting is strictly prohibited, as the cave behind the waterfall is where the Clan leaders and medicine cats go to speak with StarClan. Sub-board: The Mooncave |

ShadeClan Camp In the thickest part of the forest lies a large copse of trees. Brambles are all over the place, but Shadestar works every day to clear out the center area and construct dens. There is a tall oak at the edge of camp where he makes his den. A hollow log near the entrance has become the warriors' den, and a den of brambles is being constructed across camp from it to serve as the apprentice's den. The nursery is being built around a large tree branch next to the apprentice's den. Places for the medicine and elders' dens has yet to be decided. Sub-board: Shadestar's Den |

Forest The forest begins in the hills, where only a few stunted pine trees manage to grow. The further into the valley one goes, the thicker the forest becomes. It stretches around in a crescent, engulfing the camp and swinging around by the river, serving as a thin barrier several fox lengths from the shore. The other half of the crescent is more sparse and loops around to the edge of ShadeClan's territory. Past the border, the trees are mostly pines again. Sub-board: Lightning Tree |

Meadow Located in the center of the crescent of trees, this meadow is quite beautiful in newleaf. It's an especially valuable to ShadeClan due to the variety of herbs that grow here. The only issue is the creatures that like to eat them. The Clan hunts here often in order to keep the herbs safe. However, they can do nothing about the deer. |

The Pass The path is nestled in the junction of two sections of the mountains, making it the easiest way in and out of the valley. It's relatively flat with little slope to it. However, cold weather is likely to loosen boulders. It hasn't happened yet, but it still makes some cats reluctant to go this way. |

DawnClan camp Part of the reason Dawnstar chose this half of the valley was the great location for the camp. It lies farther back from the river than ShadeClan's, close to the rocky terrain that leads into the mountains. A large, natural gap in the center of a group of boulders is slowly being molded into a camp. The spaces between boulders are being blocked in some form or fashion, be it with stones or brambles. Virtually all the dens will have to be constructed by paw, however. The warriors' den is taking shape across from the gap Dawnstar has dubbed the entrance, nestled right next to the nursery to protect the queens and kits. The apprentices' den will be close to the entrance. The medicine den will be off to one side, near where Dawnstar plans to build the elders' den. The location for his den has yet to be determined. It's possible to keep watch from any of the boulders that ring the camp. |

The Moor The majority of DawnClan territory is moorland. Despite its bleak appearance, it is filled with rabbits and birds. There are a few patches of stunted pines here and there, though they yield little prey. Sub-board: Copse |

Abandoned Fox Den Though the den makes Dawnstar uneasy, he's left it alone. It's been abandoned for seasons, judging by the faint scent of fox. So far, the den had remained empty, aside from the occasional rabbit that uses it for shelter. Foxes prefer forests, after all. Despite saying he doesn't care, Dawnstar is just a bit curious as to why a fox would den out on the wind-blown grasslands in the first place. |

Lookout Rock This pointed slab of stone is high enough in the mountainside that one can see virtually the entire territory from on top of it, though it's hard to make out more than the occasional speck of a figure. The rock is dangerous, as it sticks out far enough from the mountain it's a straight drop to the moor below if a cat fell. Such a tumble would most likely result in extreme injury or even death. |

The Tunnels The mountains hide a myriad of tunnels, most of which are dead ends. Neither Clan leader was interested in claiming them, as they are nearly impossible to navigate. It may be possible for a cat to use them to come and go from the valley, though unlikely. The tunnels are found on either side of the river. Sub-board: Cavern |

Mountains The Clans rarely venture into the mountains. They have no reason to, after all; they have no need of extra prey or shelter, at least for now. Eagles are far more common out here, adding to the usual hazards of the mountains. Sub-boards: DawnClan Side, ShadeClan Side, The Pool |

Fields Outside the valley, open fields sprawl out for as far as the eye can see. Apart from the smudges of trees and the occasional twoleg nest, the area is all grassland. |
