Plot

Seasons have passed since the Dark Forest battle, and the four Clans were at peace. During the last moon of Leafbare, ThunderClan gave shelter to two loners, a pair of toms that had been traveling companions for moons. Both cats took an interest in Clan life, and many expected them to stay and become warriors. However, they had a different path in mind. When Newleaf rolled around, the two travelers said their goodbyes and headed north, following the ThunderClan-ShadowClan border stream. They took with them all the knowledge they needed to live the life of a warrior. The two toms even went so far as to learn the basics of healing as well.

The duo journeyed for moons and moons, far too many to keep count, until they came across a lush valley with a river cutting through it. The younger of the two, Dawn, claimed the more open half of the valley, while his friend Shade claimed the other.

They formed Clans of their own, ShadeClan and DawnClan.

They spoke to the cats that already called the area home. Some agreed to join the growing Clans and become warriors. The remaining locals either left or tried to stand up to the new Clans by themselves. But the Clans prevailed, and held the valley.

ShadeClan and DawnClan are still young, and have very few warriors. Both leaders are doing their best to recruit cats for their Clan. Despite now being rivals, Shadestar and Dawnstar are still on fairly good terms with each other.

Due to the low populations on each Clan, there is still plenty of territory for them to discover, especially in DawnClan. Dawnstar has been very busy constructing the camp, after all.
